Abstract:
PURPOSE: To aim at the promotion of high-powered output, by installing a movable separator in a collecting cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust pipes #1 and #2 connected to even-numbered cylinders are connected to a collecting cylinder 2. A movable separator 4, whose inside is halved, is installed in this collecting cylinder 2. At the time of low speed, it is divided into two chambers, and at the time of more than the specified engine speed, the movable separator is moved and the inside of the collection cylinder 2 is set down to one chamber, with this constitution, high-powered output is securable over the whole speed range.
