To provide a new exothermic system and the heating method capable of generating heat repetitively by alternately feeding oxidation gas and reduction gas.
The exothermic system comprises a heat generation part having an exothermic material for generating heat when it is oxidized, an oxidation gas feeding device for feeding oxidation gas to the heat generation part, and a reduction gas feeding device for feeding reduction gas to the heat generation part. The exothermic material is oxidized and heated by the oxidation gas fed from the oxidation gas feeding device, and the oxidized exothermic material is reduced and regenerated by the reduction gas fed from the reduction gas feeding device. The heat feeding method comprises feeding the oxidation gas to the exothermic material for generating heat when it is oxidized to generate oxidation heat, and feeding the reduction gas to the exothermic material to reduce and regenerate the oxidized exothermic material.
