PURPOSE: To obtain an exothermic tape capable of efficiently covering even an article having small flexural radius by arranging a yarn-like body obtained by blending a discontinuous metal wire with a heat-resistant fiber in a warp direction and arranging a heat-resistant yarn in weft direction and weaving a metal wire of electrode as a weft.
CONSTITUTION: A yarn-like exothermic element 2 obtained by blending discontinuous metal wire with a heat-resistant fiber is arranged in the direction of warp and a heat-resistant yarn is arranged in the direction of weft to weave these yarns into a woven fabric having a narrow width being 0.5-30cm in the width D(cm). Yarn is woven using a metal wire 3 of electrode as weft in intervals L(cm) (where (r) is linear resistance Ω/cm or heat generating element 2; (d) is arrangement density/cm of generator) expressed by the formula 447.2(d/r)1/2-70.7(d/r)1/2 and watt density of parallel wiring part of the generator is set to 0.05W/cm2.
