Abstract:
To provide an expandable polystyrene-based resin particle for cushioning material padding, having excellent flowability and anti-blocking property as the expandable polystyrene-based resin particle, and excellent flowability and anti-static property of an expandable particle produced using the expandable polystyrene-based resin particle, and capable of providing a cushioning material excellent in touch feeling as the final product.SOLUTION: An expandable polystyrene-based resin particle for cushioning material padding is composed of a resin particle body having a polystyrene-based resin as the base resin, a foaming agent contained in the resin particle body, and a coating material coating the resin particle body. An average particle diameter of the resin particle body is 0.3 mm or more and 0.5 mm or less, and the coating material contains metal stearate A, stearic acid amide and an anti-static agent. The metal stearate A comprises 40 mass% or more and 100 mass% or less of magnesium stearate, and 0 mass% or more and 60 mass% or less of zinc stearate (the total of both is 100 mass%). Based on 100 pts.mass of the resin particle body, a coating amount of the metal stearate A is 0.1 pt.mass or more and less than 0.4 pt.mass, a coating amount of the stearic acid amide is 0.01 pt.mass or more and 0.5 pt.mass or less, and a coating amount of the anti-static agent is 0.2 pt.mass or more and 0.8 pt.mass or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
