PURPOSE: To provide a light-weight expanded grating body for lead-acid battery capable of enhancing the holding performance of active material.

CONSTITUTION: Corrugated curved line bodies 2 placed in the line direction are arranged in multiple stages so as to form a common plane. In the corrugated curved line bodies 2 in adjacent lines, the bottom part of each V-shaped part 2a of one line and the top part of each inverted V-shaped part 2b of the other line are superposed to each other in the grating body thickness direction and connected in connecting parts 2c. In the corrugated curved line bodies 2 in the adjacent lines, further, each V-shaped part 2a on one line and each inverted V-shaped part 2b on the other line are curved in the grating body thickness direction with each connecting part 2c arranged in the line direction as a center. The curving direction of each connecting part 2c in the adjacent lines is reversed.
