To effectively use a rigid expanded resin crushed article such as recovered heat insulating materials by reproducing it into a desired shape by molding a mixture of the crushed product of an expanded resin, an adhesive of a low meling point which contributes to the solidification of the crushed article, and a hollow body which can expand and is inferior in the bondability with the adhesive.
For cushioning material 2 which is an expanded resin molded product in order to absorb impacts, the crushed article 3 of an expanded polystyrene, being an expandable resin, which has been conventionally used as a cushioning material, is solidified with an adhesive, and this mainly presents a cushioning action. Then, the pressure receiving surface 2a of the cushioning material 2 which comes into contact with a product to be carried, which is protected, and receives a pressure from the product to be carried comprises a composition wherein the particles of a hollow body 4 are concentrically disperse-arranged in the solidified article of the crushed article 3 of the expanded polystyrene. An adhesive to be used is preferably an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer which does not deform the crushed article of the expanded polystyrene and has a low melting point. For the hollow body 4, the expanded body of a thermoplastic resin or the like is used.
