Abstract:
PURPOSE: To separate the protecting part of a bandage from the injury area when the contact part of the bandage is applied to the patient skin, by providing a space formed by expansion of a layer of the bandage, and allowing air circulation and filtration between the space and the outside. CONSTITUTION: The bandage is constructed by stacking six bandage planes whose upper parts are mutually attached continuously from inside (1st layer) to outside (6th layer). The inside first layer is placed nearest to the injury, the outside 6th layer forms the outermost surface. Each layer from 1st to 6th layers allows passage of air, composed of an expandable or elastic material. The outside peripheral surface of each layer adheres to the next layer, thus the laminated bandage layers forms a single assembly.
