Abstract:
To provide an expanding tool with a simple structure in which expanding operation is easily performed to be capable of evenly expanding a rectangular wire without changing surface quality of the rectangular wire.SOLUTION: An expanding tool 1 expanding a rectangular wire 2 comprises: a base 3 extending in a horizontal direction; a fixed clamp 5 which is fixed at a one end part in the extending direction of the base 3 and grips one end side of the rectangular wire 2; a movable clamp 10 which is movably attached to the other end part of the base 3 in the extending direction and grips the other end side of the rectangular wire 2; and a cover 20 which is attached between the fixed clamp 5 and the movable clamp 10 to the base 3, and partly covers the rectangular wire 2 gripped by the fixed clamp 5 and the movable clamp 10 to prevent positional deviation of the rectangular wire 2. A guide groove 25 guiding the rectangular wire 2 is formed in the cover 20, and includes a circular arc 26 to have the line contact with corner parts 2b, 2c of the rectangular wire 2 along a longer direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
