Abstract:
To provide an expansion arm for a construction machine, which is simple and small in structure but detects extension of a rope with accuracy.
According to the expansion arm, second and third arm bodies 11, 12 forming the expansion arm has reference marks 21, 22 calibrated on outer surfaces thereof, respectively, and the second arm body has a detection mark 23 calibrated on the outer surface thereof at a location spaced an interval x away from the reference mark 21 toward a base-side end of the arm. When both the arm bodies 11, 12 are extended for the same length, if the detection mark 23 is exposed to the outside due to extension of the rope, it is determined that the life of the rope has reached the end.
