Abstract:
To provide an expansion catheter by which it is possible to check the forward side of an expansion body such as a balloon and also check the expansion body, thereby achieving an accurate, safe and speedy procedure.
An expansion catheter 100 includes: an expandable balloon 110; an elongate body 120 that has a distal section 124 to which the balloon 110 is attached on its outer circumference and which extends along the expansion body, and a bent section 125 which is located on the proximal side of the distal section 124 and which is bent to be non-parallel to the extending direction of the distal section 124; and an imaging section 130 which images the balloon 110 from a position opposing to the balloon 110 in the bent section 125.
