Abstract:
To provide an expansion device for a bridge capable of reliably guiding leaking water flowing down along the inner surface of a joint web plate to a gutter part of a water cut-off member.SOLUTION: An expansion device for a bridge 1 comprises: a pair of joints 2 comprising a tabular faceplate 2A and a web plate 2B extending vertically downward from the faceplate 2A; and a water cut-off member 4 comprising an elastically deformable gutter part 4A curved in a U-shaped longitudinal section so as to bulge downward and a plate-like fixed part 4B connected to the upper parts of both ends in the width direction of the gutter part 4A, and being installed below the pair of joints 2 by attaching the fixed part 4B to the joints 2 respectively. The expansion device for a bridge is provided with guide means for guiding (leaking) water that flows down along the inner surface 2c of the web plate 2B of the joint 2 toward the center of the water cut-off member 4 in the width direction. The guide means is composed of a slope face 4F that slopes downward from the inner surface 2c of the web plate 2B of the joint 2 toward the center of the water cut-off member 4 in the width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
