Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tube expanding apparatus without occurrence of cracks or the like to a metal tube, at a low cost in a shorter processing time.SOLUTION: A clamp die 2 includes: a fixed part 30 that is brought into contact with an outer peripheral surface of one end side of a metal tube 10 and fixes the metal tube 10; and a non-fixed part 12 that forms a space S1 in a circumferential direction between the outer peripheral surface of the one end side and the outer peripheral surface of the other end side of the metal tube 10 fixed to the fixed part 30. A punch die 6, while being heated to about 200°C by a micro heater 9, is press-fitted into the metal tube 10, and thereby, the metal tube 10 is pressed by the punch die 6 so as to expand outward in a radial direction until it is expanded to be along the non-fixed part 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
