Abstract:

To provide an expansion machine capable of enhancing the operation efficiency of a refrigeration cycle device by minimizing reduction of power recovery amount in the expansion machine, and a refrigeration cycle device using this expansion machine.

A first cylinder 27, a second cylinder 28 and a third cylinder 29 are varied in vertical height, and arranged in the ascending order of capacity. A first refrigerant suction tube 20, a second refrigerant suction tube 31, and a first refrigerant discharge tube 32 for discharging refrigerant are passed through the first cylinder 27, through the second cylinder 28, and through the third cylinder 29, respectively. The second refrigerant suction tube 31 includes a solenoid opening/closing valve 34.
