To prevent a wedge and a large-diameter pipe from slipping in the direction of a pipe axis center between the contact surfaces for position deviation in the transition period of wedge-clamping operation.
A wedge guide 4 is fixed to a small-diameter pipe 2 and is inserted into the large-diameter pipe 1. A wedge 5 is inserted into a wedge chamber 6 between the wedge guide 4 and the large-diameter pipe 1. A wedge-pushing tool 7 for pushing the wedge 5 to a wedge clamped side is provided at the small-diameter pipe 2 via a slidable rotation transmission means 8 so that it can be relatively slid and cannot be relatively rotated. A pivoting type cam surface 9 is formed on the outer periphery surface of the wedge pushing tool 7. A pivoting type wedge chamber 10 is formed between the pivoting type cam surface 9 and the large-diameter pipe 1. A pivoting operation type wedge 11 is inserted into the pivoting type wedge chamber 9. The pivoting operation type wedge 11 is composed so that it is pressed to the wedge clamped side on the turning type cam surface 9 for performing the wedge friction fixation of the wedge pushing tool 7 to the large-diameter pipe 1 based on the relative rotary operation of the large-diameter pipe 1 and the small-diameter pipe 2 to the wedge clamping side.
