Abstract:
To provide an expansion tank which can combine the work efficiency of water injection to an engine cooling device with air-liquid separation performance.SOLUTION: A hermetic expansion tank 30 connected to an engine cooling device, and separating air from cooling water circulating in the cooling device comprises: a tank body 35; a plurality of bulkheads 42 having communicative holes 44 at a lower side than a water level reference line 43, and partitioning the inside of the tank body 35 into a plurality of separated chambers 36a to 36f; a flow-in port 34 connected to the separated chamber 36a at a position at a lower side than the water level reference line 43; a flow-out port 33 connected to the separated chamber 36e other than the separated chamber 36a at a position at a lower side than the water level reference line 43; a water injection port 31 provided in the separated chamber other than the separated chamber 36a; and a backflow prevention mechanism 38 provided in the communicative hole 44 of the bulkhead 42 partitioning the separated chamber 36a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
