To provide an expansion valve whose vibration due to a pressure change of a two-gas-liquid-phase refrigerant flow is suppressed without impairing the reliability and which is used to reduce the noises of the expansion valve or others resulting from the vibration of the expansion valve.
In a refrigerant passage 4 formed in a valve body 1, a buffer member 10 is mounted on the wall face at the upstream side of an orifice 6 formed on the way of the refrigerant passage 4 and having a restricting function for avoiding trouble in distributing refrigerant. The buffer member 10 buffers the vibrating force of the valve body 1 due to a pressure change of the refrigerant in the refrigerant passage 4 to suppress the vibration of the expansion valve, thus reducing the noises of the expansion valve or others resulting from the vibration of the expansion valve.
