This expansion valve 4 includes a body 41 formed with the second refrigerant passage 49 having a valve port 53 in its midway, a valve element 50 advanced and retracted in an inside of the body 41, to regulate an opening degree of the valve port 53, and an injection flow restraining member 51 provided in a downstream passage 49b of the valve port, to restrain an injection flow formed in a downstream of the valve port 53. The injection flow restraining member 51 has a prescribed sectional area S2 satisfying an expression 0.03S1S2S1-S0, where S1 represents a sectional area of the downstream passage 49b of the valve port, and S0 represents a sectional area of an annular flow passage portion opened by the valve element 50 when the valve element 50 is fully opened.
