Abstract:
To provide an improved expansion valve capable of realizing low costs and low noise.SOLUTION: An expansion valve has: a valve main body 2 mounted in a valve chest VS disposed between a supply-side flow channel 21 and a discharge-side flow channel 22, and including an annular valve seat 20 through which the fluid from the supply-side flow channel 21 to the discharge-side flow channel 22 passes; a valve element 3 blocking passage of the fluid by sitting on the valve seat 20, and permitting the passage of the fluid by separating from the valve seat 20; a coil spring 41 disposed in the valve chest VS having a side face facing the flow of the fluid flowing from the supply-side flow channel 21, and energizing the valve element 3 toward the valve seat 20; an operation member 5 pressing the valve element 3 in a direction separating from the valve seat 20 against energization force by the coil spring 41; and a cover member 45 covering the coil spring 41. The cover member 45 is disposed at least at a position to be opposed to the flow of the fluid flowing from a connection passage 21a of the supply-side flow channel 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
