Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a liquid such as water from infiltrating into an explosion- proof case through a ventilating part without being hampered by restrictions on the installation of the explosion-proof case by providing an gas permeable filter near the inlet of an air through-hole.
SOLUTION: An internal thread part 2a is formed on the inner circumferential surface of an air through-hole 2 for communicating the inside and outside of the explosion-proof case 1 for ventilation, in such a way as to satisfy an explosion-proof condition. An external thread part 3 to be screwed with the internal thread part 2a is screwed in from the outside of the explosion-proof case 1. A gas-permeable filter 4 is stored in a filter storage recessed part 5 formed larger in diameter than the through-hole 2, and pressure-fixed by a cover 7 through an O-ring 6. Liquid such as water infiltrating from the fitting clearance of the cover 7 and a hole or the like opened in the cover 7 adheres to the permeable filter 4 so as not to further infiltrate into the case 1. Electronic parts such as a pressure sensor stored in the case can thereby be prevented from being adversely affected by electric leakage or the like.
