Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent explosion of a battery, and secure safety and reliability of the battery by reversing a valve body upward when battery internal pressure reaches a prescribed pressure, and cutting off electric connection between the valve and a metallic plate.
SOLUTION: A valve 3 is formed in a wave shape, and a positional difference between a crest part 3a and a valley part 3b of a wave is cleared up. When battery internal pressure reaches a prescribed pressure, the valve body 3 is precisely deformed, and a welding part 5 separates, and reliably separates from a metallic plate 6. Therefore, electric connection between the valve body 3 and the conductive metallic plate 6 is reliably cut off. When the battery internal pressure increases further, a thin part arranged in the valve body 3 is ruptured, and gas in a battery is discharged outside.
