Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous secondary battery with excellent impact resistance by forming a folded back part in the periphery of a cut-off part at the time when a metal rupture sheet having the cut-off part is installed in an open part for releasing pressure of an upper cover of a battery can of the non-aqueous secondary battery.
SOLUTION: A non aqueous secondary battery is constituted of an anode having a carbonaceous material as an active material, a cathode having a lithium-compounded metal oxide consisting of transition metals, lithium, and oxygen as an active material, and a separator. A cut-off part 2 is formed in a metal rupture sheet 1 to be welded in an open part for releasing pressure of an upper cover 4 of battery cover and at the same time a folded back part 3 is formed in the periphery of the cut-off part 2. Consequently, an explosion- proof type secondary battery provided with a metal sheet type rupture structure can be provided and the rupture sheet is not ruptured erroneously due to strong impact and functions precisely at a prescribe pressure.
