Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of an image which is captured in an imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: An exposure control device comprises a photometric quantity acquisition section, a light emission quantity control section and a gain control section. The photometric quantity acquisition section acquires the measured quantity of light as a photometric quantity. In the case where the photometric quantity is settled within a fixed light quantity range, the light emission quantity control section increases the light emission quantity of a light-emitting part more as the photometric quantity is less. In the case where the photometric quantity is not within the light quantity range, the gain control section increases a gain with respect to an output signal of an imaging device more as the photometric quantity is less, and in the case where the photometric quantity is within the light quantity range, the gain control section controls the gain at a fixed value.
