Abstract:
To prevent powder dust of toner, or the like, deposited on or around a shutter member from adhering to a light transmitting member through operation of the shutter member when the shutter member is screening the light transmitting member.
The exposure unit comprises a shutter member 21 having a slit 23 and slidable in the direction for screening the optical path of a light beam, and a recess 25 having an opening facing the slit 23 under such a state as the shutter member 21 is moved to a position for screening at least the optical path of the light beam wherein powder dust of toner T, or the like, falling through the slit 23 when a cover glass 9 is screened is deposited in the recess 25.
