Abstract:
To provide a composition for a medicine, a food and a cosmetic for dieting capable of promoting the expression of an uncoupling protein in a brown adipose cell and promoting the inhibition of excessive fat accumulation.
This composition is obtained by formulating an extracted essence which is separated from an old root or a rootlet of a plant of the genus Aralia of the family Araliaceae with a polar solvent and capable of promoting the expression of the uncoupling protein having 32 kDa molecular weight and present in the mitochondrial inner membrane in the brown adipose cell and resultantly inhibiting the excessive fat accumulation with the medicine, food and cosmetic. The resultant composition has excellent antiobese effects.
