To provide an extended device to which portable electronic equipment for ensuring security such as a battery is connectable without providing any new lock mechanism.
A battery pack 15 can be easily taken out by releasing the lock of a lock part 17. This lock part is formed on a placing face 13 of this extended device. On the other hand, a lockable key hole 21 is arranged on the side face part of an extended device main body 7 so that a state that a portable computer 1 is mounted on the extended device 7 can be locked. This key is locked so that the portable computer 1 can be turned into the state that this portable computer 1 can not be removed form the extended device 7, and the lock part 17 for the battery pack arranged on the placing face 13 is made inoperable so that the battery pack 15 can be prevented from being taken out.
