PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to extend slidingly a conveyer, following with the propulsive movement of a shield machine without a manual assistance and bring out excavated soil by providing an expansion type conveyer on the ear part of a shield machine, keeping in close contact with the shield machine.
SOLUTION: Screws 21a and 22a at the same dia. and same pitch, which are provided inside cylindrical bodies A and B, are placed one upon the other on the length C, which exceeds one day's excavation length on the same axial line. An acceptance inlet 23 is provided on the front end of a screw conveyer 20 so as to receive excavated earth and sand from a screw conveyer 20 which advances with a shield machine whiles removal outlet 24 is provided on the rear end of a screw conveyer 22, thereby driving the screw conveyers 21 and 22 synchronously with drive motors 21b and 22b provided on the outside end of the cylindrical bodies A and B. Accompanied by the advance of the shield machine, the screw conveyers while they are being turned, are separated from each other and come to a stop. After the propulsive movement is completed, the screws 21a and 22a are shrunken with a hydraulic jack or the like while they are being turned in the removal direction of the excavated earth and sand.
