PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring elongation percentage between bench marks, which apparatus achieves reduction of weights of two gauge head portions while providing excellent operability and achieves highly precise elongation percentage measurement.SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for measuring elongation percentage between bench marks measures elongation percentage between two bench marks of a test piece grasped by two gauge head portions 31, 32. The apparatus comprises the two gauge head portions configured to have respective pairs of opening/closing arms 19, 20. The arms include, on their tip end, a pair of tip end grasping mechanisms 41, 42 for grasping a bench mark site of the test piece. The opening/closing arms of each of the pairs are rotationally biased together by an biasing force of a twisted spring 69 in such a direction as to render the tip end grasping mechanisms in a closed state. The two gauge head portions are provided slidably and movably along a guide shaft 14 fixed to an apparatus body 2. The apparatus further comprises a gauge head portion opening/closing mechanism (50, 52a, 52b, 53) for simultaneously opening/closing the tip end of each pair of the opening/closing arms of the two gauge head portions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
