Abstract:
PURPOSE:To accurately measure the elongation quantity when a reticle on a test piece has a width regarding an extensometer for a tensile test measuring the elongation quantity of the test piece at the time of the tensile test of rubber or a polymer material. CONSTITUTION:An extensometer for a tensile test measures the elongation of a test piece based on the shift quantities of sensor elements moved in the wake of the position of a reticle 4 on the test piece 1 when stress is applied. A two-element split type optical sensor 31 generating both detection signals corresponding to the light reception quantities of half-split light reception sections 32, 32 is used for the sensor elements, and the elongation of the test piece 1 is measured based on the respective shift quantities of both sensor elements when the sensor elements are moved so that both detection signals are made equal.
