The vehicle 10 is provided with a cowl top 12 covering a vehicle body inside 43 between a hood 11 and a windshield 15. The external airbag device 50 inflates and deploys an airbag 14 along an outside surface of the windshield and the periphery thereof. The airbag, a retainer 23 folding and storing the airbag to dispose that at a rear end portion of the hood, and an inflator 24 generating gas for inflating the airbag are integrally assembled to be an airbag module 13. The airbag module is extended in a vehicular width direction along a front surface of the cowl top in a vehicle body. The inflator is disposed between the front surface of the cowl top and the retainer, and attached to the outside of the retainer.
