Abstract:

PURPOSE: To detect mechanical abnormality simply and with a high sensitivity by detecting an output in response to the vibration of internal parts which is caused with a vibrator adapted to operate with a small capacity of battery provided at one end of a stationary arc electrode when it is operated by an external signal.

CONSTITUTION: A vibrator 19 adapted to operate with a small battery 32 is mounted at one end of a stationary arc electrode 16. The vibrator 19 is operated with a photosensor 21 mounted on a cover 20 of the vibrator 22 by applying light from a light source 22. The output in response to the vibration of parts is detected with a pick-up sensor provided in the outside air. This enables the mechanical abnormality simply and with a high sensitivity.
