Abstract:
To develop a shaping method of a lid excellent in appearance and designing, easy to shape, and low in manufacturing cost.
In the shaping technology for an external lid for a fuel filler openably/closably mounted to the fuel filler of an automobile, when the fuel filler lid is shaped by press working, an outer plate 11 and an inner plate 12 having smaller dimension than that are superposed and peripheral edges (flanges 11a, 12a) of the outer plate 11 and the inner plate 12 are subjected to standing up shaping. Thereafter, the flange 11a of the outer plate 11 is folding/returning-shaped making a distal end 12b of the flange 12a of the inner plate 12 subjected to the standing up shaping as a buckling point.
