To provide an external light blocking member for display device, to provide a manufacturing method of the external light blocking member for display device, and to provide a filter for display device including the external light blocking member for display device.
The external light blocking member for display device includes: a base made of transparent resin; and an external light blocking pattern comprising external light blocking parts formed by filling respectively light absorbing substance into a plurality of filling grooves formed on one surface of the base, wherein one ends of the external light blocking parts are exposed on the one surface of the base, the other ends are depressed in the base, the one ends of the external light blocking parts have a stripe shape and, when viewed from on a flat plane, the other ends have curved shapes formed in zigzag. The external light blocking member for display device is excellent in external light blocking efficiency and can simply form a complicated pattern without additional mechanical working and, therefore, can economically reduce a manufacturing time and a manufacturing cost.
