Title:
EXTERNAL OPERATING MECHANISM OF WRIST WATCH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5524610
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to prevent an erroneous operation during transportation and to release the prohibition of a pushing operation with ease by providing at the outside of a watch case means for prohibiting the pushing operations of an external operating member such as a push button.

CONSTITUTION: An externally operating member 2 is loosely fitted in a watch case 1, and when the flange 2a of the member 2 is under the condition, as shown in solid lines, its longer diameter portion is longer than the width of the slit portion 1a of the case 1. As a result, the longer diameter portion interferes with the slit portion 1a so that the push operation of the member 2 is prevented. On the other hand, if the flange portion 2a of the member 2 is under the condition, as shown in double-dotted line, the shorter diameter portion of the flange portion 2a is shorter than the width of the slit portion 1a so that the shorter diameter portion is received in the slit portion 1a and so that the pushing operation of the member 2 can be accomplished. Thus, in accordance with the engaging mode between the slit portion 1a and the flange portion 2a, the operations of the member 2 can be regulated while simplifying the construction.
