Title:
EXTERNAL ORNAMENTAL MATERIAL IN WHICH PATINA IS FORMED IN EARLY STAGE AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3386581
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce an external ornamental material in which patina is stably formed in an early stage and furthermore excellent in corrosion resistance by forming a film of a Cu-Ni-base alloy in which Ni concn. is gradually increased on the surface of a copper base metal.
CONSTITUTION: On at least either surface of a base metal copper sheet, a film of a Cu-Ni-base alloy in which Ni concn. is increased toward the outermost surface from the base metal side is formed. For example, on the surface of the copper steel, a primary film with 0.5 to 10μm thickness having 10 to 50 mass% Ni content is formed, and on this surface, a secondary film with 0.5 to 10μm thickness constituted of a Cu-base alloy having 50 to 70 mass% Ni content is formed. After the formation of the primary film, it may be subjected to heating treatment to 400 to 900°C in an inert or reducing atmosphere.
