To manufacture an external resonator without using a position fine adjusting tool for finely adjusting a position of an optical element.
An external resonator semiconductor laser device 10 comprises: a semiconductor laser element 14; a collimator lens 16; a condenser lens 18; and a partial reflection mirror 20. Laser light emitted from the semiconductor laser element 14 is resonated between the semiconductor laser element 14 and the partial reflection mirror 20, and one part of the resonated laser light is outputted through the partial reflection mirror 20. Furthermore, holding tools 26, 28, 30, 32 for fixedly holding the semiconductor laser element 14, the collimator lens 16, the condenser lens 18, and the partial reflection mirror 20 are provided, and fixed on a substrate 12.
