Abstract:
To provide an external shape inspection device capable of easily inspecting whether the external cross-sectional shape of a longitudinal member of a predetermined external shape is within a predetermined range of sizes.SOLUTION: The external shape inspection device consists of two halves 3a, 3b formed by dividing in two in a direction of insertion of the inner hole 9 a ring member 2 having an inner hole 9 equivalent to an external cross-sectional shape larger by the maximum value of a specified range than a predetermined size with respect to an external cross-sectional shape of a long-handled member (cylindrical tube) 11. Provided is an engagement structure 8 that engages the two halves 3a, 3b at a contacting part 5 of the halves 3a, 3b when the two halves 3a, 3b are pressed against each other to form a ring member. The engagement structure 8 is designed not to be disengaged against external force in the direction to separate the halves 3a, 3b in a state of engagement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
