Title:
EXTRACTING DEVICE FOR COFFEE, ETC.
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3150407
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a large quantity of extracted liquid of uniform concentration by performing an extracting process using extracting tanks with small capacity arranged at regular intervals on a horizontal circumference.
CONSTITUTION: Each tank compartment 40a is operated by a decelerating motor 51 with a brake, stopped in each process step, which is detected by a sensor 56, and moved by one pitch after a given time, which operation being repeated. Ground coffee is fed into a measuring hopper 32 by a feeder 31 and a load cell 34 measures the weight of the coffee. A bottom outlet valve 36 opens and the coffee is fed into each tank compartment 40a. Hot water is poured over the coffee to such as extent as to moisten it, which is held for a short time. Boiling water is poured over each compartment 40a from a nozzle 58. With the liquid surface kept within a given height range, the extracted coffee liquid of approximately the same volume as that of the poured boiling water is discharged into a receiving tank 85 through a flow rate control valve 75. After that, a bottom lid 46 opens, coffee grounds is dropped into a hopper and carried out by a conveyer 90.
