To obtain an organosilicon compound contained in a specific part of seaweed when macroscopically observed, having biological activity, anti- inflammatory property, hydration property and tissue-regenerating property and useful for treatment, nutrition and cosmetic.
This organosilicon compound is represented by the formula (R1 to R4 are each an organic group and at least one among them is a hydrolyzable group and has a form of X-R' and X is a hetero atom; R' is H or an organic group) and is an extract derived from alga and obtained from a reproductive organ and blast tissue of Asparagopsis-armata. Furthermore, the sample is fixed into a polymerized resin mass and the mass is sliced into fine fragments and the fragments are subjected to elementary analysis by spectroscopy so as to specify a part of alga larger in silicon content than previously set value. The position of a part of alga capable of extracting the objective compound is preferably specified by several processes including the analysis and practiced according to the sample of the alga.
