Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the extremely thin diameter lateral view type endoscope which is equipped with the opening part of an objective optical system axially at the side part of an endoscope tip part and has a lighting means for lighting an observed part.
CONSTITUTION: The opening part 24 at the top of the extremely thin diameter lateral view type endoscope 2 is bent perpendicularly to the axial direction of a hard pipe 21. An image guide optical system 25 is inserted into the hard pipe 21, plural light guide optical systems 26 are charged in the periphery of the image guide optical system 25 without any gap, and the tip surfaces of the image guide optical system 25 and light guide optical systems 26 are positioned behind the opening part 24 of the hard pipe 21. Further, an objective optical system 27 is fixed to the tip part 4a of the hard pipe 21 with a light- transmissive adhesive 28. Then the image guide optical system 25 is set opposite the rear end surface of the objective optical system 27 and the light guide optical systems 26 are made to face the rear end surface of the light- transmissive adhesive 28a.
