Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce an extruded aluminum alloy for brazing, which is capable of brazing and has superior extrudability and corrosion resistance and causes no melting at the time of brazing and by which the improvement of strength can be expected at the time of short-time heating after brazing.
CONSTITUTION: The aluminum alloy, which has a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.5-0.8% Mg, 0.3-0.6% Si, 0.2-0.7% Cu, and the balance aluminum with inevitable impurities or further containing 0.01-0.2% Mn and/or 0.01-0.1% Ti, is produced.
