Abstract:
To provide an extruded member for car body construction having boss parts for installation, capable of reducing the weight of a car body, improving the productivity and reducing the cost.
A pipe section 20 consisting of the extruded member for car body construction which is molded by extrusion is used, for example, for a main pipe of a motorcycle. On a part in the longitudinal direction of the outer surface WS of the pipe section 20, the boss parts 22a, 22b for installation are molded integrally with the pipe section 20 by the extrusion molding so that the boss parts protrude from a retrocedent part 24a1 composing a part of the outer surface WS and also have a plane surface 22c for installation.
