Abstract:
PURPOSE: To fabricate an excellent membrane structure capable of withstanding a minimum burst pressure.
CONSTITUTION: Mixture of such plastic polymers as polyether ether ketone, polyether ketone, polyether ketone ketone, polyether diphenyl ketone and polyether sulfone is extruded through a die 4 to fabricate a structure capable of withstanding a minimum burst pressure in excess of 5 bars when formed to membrane. For this purpose, a fine wire gauze 7 with a specific mesh is inserted in the passage of the mixture at immediately above the die 4.
