Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the method for extrusion of a hollow material of aluminium alloy for wear resistance of a wall thickness of ≤10mm.

CONSTITUTION: A billet 1 of aluminium alloy for wear resistance is charged in a container 2, and a mandrel 8 having a small diameter part 8a on the top is inserted in this billet which is pierced preliminarily. And a thick wall part 18a is formed by extruding the billet 1 through the clearance between a bearing hole 20 of a die 16 and the small diameter part 8a correspondently to the wall thickness that the detect is not generated based on the extruability of aluminium alloy for wear resistance on the hollow material 18 extruded by pressing the billet 1. Next, after the thick wall part 18a is formed, a thin wall part 18b is formed by extruding through the clearance bearing hole 20 and a large diameter part 8c of the mandrel 8 which is correspondent to the prescribed wall thickness being thinner than the thick wall part 18a.
