Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sodium cromoglycate ophthalmic solution which exhibits rapid and powerful antipruritic effects and improves ocular pain and unpleasant irritation.SOLUTION: A novel eye drop is provided in which, by blending menthol in sodium cromoglycate and antihistamine, unpleasant irritating eye pain induced by sodium cromoglycate at instillation is reduced, which further strengthens the rapid antipruritic effect of antihistamine, and which strongly suppresses itching of the eyes immediately after instillation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
