The image of the face of a detection object person 1 is time sequentially and continuously photographed by a photographing means 10, the moving image is provided, and the eye zone is extracted by an extracting means 22 in the search area set to a current image by a search area setting means 21. Especially, the search area setting means 21 sets any one of the position of search area, size, number and shape corresponding to the extracted result of eye zone in the image in the past at least. Besides, the extracting means 22 judges the opening/closing state of eyes.
