PURPOSE: To allow the use of the needle in a stable state, to facilitate and assure mounting of a suture and to greatly intensify tensile strength by constituting the material of an austenitic stainless steel, the tip and body part of slender crystal grains and the root part of the structure of crystal grains having no directivity.

CONSTITUTION: The tip A and body B of the suturing needle 1 made of using SUS304 are respectively constituted of the material of the structure formed of the crystal grains extremely slender in the same direction as the needle length direction and the root part C is constituted of the material of the structure formed of the crystal grains having no directivity. As a result, the tip A and the body B part are extremely strong to bending and has a high spring characteristic; therefore, the needle does not break during use and has the characteristic that the needle can be used in the extremely stable state. Since the root C part has the low spring characteristic and is soft, this part is easily deformable by caulking and facilitates and assures the mounting of the suture. The property to engage the suture is thus good. The tensile strength is, therefore, extremely high and since the caulking deformation can be increased, the insertion and caulking of several kinds of suture sizes are possible.
