The eyepiece includes a positive single lens disposed in order from the pupil side and satisfies conditional inequality of 1.25<TL/f<1.36 (where TL is the distance from a first surface to an imaging surface along an optical axis (including a parallel plane part in terms of air length) and (f) is the focal length of the whole lens system).
