This fabric for air bag is obtained by using synthetic fiber filament yarns each having the following characteristics: percentage of hollowness: 10-40 (pref. 15-35)%; single fiber fineness: 1-6 denier (total denier is 100-600); single fiber tenacity: ≥8.0g/d. To improve the productivity of this fabric, such processes as twisting, plying with filament yarns each having other section, interlacing, and/or sizing may be optionally conducted during producing this fabric.
