Abstract:

PURPOSE: To condition fabric articles by inserting a substrate article containing a flexible substrate having water absorbing ability greater than a specified value and the fabric articles into a flexible container and tumbling the flexible container within a laundry dryer.

CONSTITUTION: This method for conditioning fabrics in a laundry dryer comprises the steps of: inserting into a flexible container (e.g. a heat resistant plastic bag) articles to be treated obtained by impregnating preferably substrate articles containing a flexible sheet substrate having water absorbing ability of 1.0≤ especially of 2.5≤ and ≤7.5, especially preferably a filter paper substrate with a solvent such as terpene, pinene and volatile silicone or a perfume components; closing the container; and tumbling the container in the laundry dryer to condition the fabrics, to effectively remove soiled things and to get good cleaning results. By allowing the fabrics to absorb the perfume component, the fabrics can be effectively given fragrance.
