To obtain a fabric for food filtration which has excellent filtration performances, no admixture of fluff in a food and excellent workability and stands repeated uses, especially a fabric having the same filtration performances as those of filtration by diatomaceous earth in a press filtration process of unrefined soy sauce, etc., and to provide a method for producing the same.
This fabric for food filtration comprises a knitted fabric or woven fabric composed of a fabric of one or more layers made up of extra fine fibers having ≥0.011 dTex and ≤1.1 dTex single filament fineness of synthetic fiber multifilament yarn and at least a fabric of one or more layers having ≥1.1 dTex and ≤11 dTex single filament fineness of a synthetic fiber multifilament yarn of ordinary thickness in an integral structure and/or a laminate.
